Rethinking RTD's visual identity from a human-centered design perspective.


The Problem

The Regional Transportation District is responsible for safely moving thousands of commuters a day. The RTD MyRide app is a helpful aid in the transportation process, offering home for both the purchasing and access of transport tickets for any RTD service. However, a good majority of the app’s features are not housed within the app and often have the user moving to a browser for their utilization. 

 

Solutions

The redesign allows for features such as the “Plan a Trip” option to remain local to the application. The colors, type, and components are designed to elevate the overall experience surrounding public transportation. The redesign is also optimized for both mobile as well as WatchOS.
